The Samsung PN51D7000 plasma TV has superb video quality on standard Blu-ray discs and DIRECTV HD broadcasts and the Blu-ray 3D picture is very good - Disney's Tangled in 3D was a treat for our family to watch (even my wife was impressed after seeing this). The TV's 2D to 3D conversion with standard Blu-ray movies is surprisingly good as well - the processing added amazing depth to Avatar and to Disneynature's African Cats. Altogether a gorgeous TV and excellent Blu-ray 3D player - even the Samsung SG3050 3D glasses are pretty good (they must be if my wife didn't complain after wearing them over her prescription glasses!). I'm very satisfied so far with this purchase - my first foray into the world of 3D! I can recommend this TV without hesitation - as part of this bundle or by itself - you will not regret it!

the quality of the image on this TV is phenomenal, it has very deep and true black, which is what convinced me to buy it in the 1st place. unfortunately the beauty is skin deep.I was very happy with the TV till the time that rows of dead pixels started appearing on the display making the TV useless. The reality is that the warranty only covers this for one year, which is telling by itself. such an expensive product should last much more than one year, and therefore should carry a longer warranty. My TV was just outside the warranty period, and Samsung told me it was not their problem. Had to throw it in the dumpster..... What a waste of money. The Samsung repair center guy (not employed by samsung) told me that these TVs not infrequently develop problems in the 2nd or 3rd year after purchase, and there is nothing that can be done to repair them......hopefully
